THE NEUROCHEMISTRY OF FEAR

Monday, March 9, 2026 at 6:30 P.M.

Led by TBRI Practitioner Rhonda Cummins

Empowering caregivers and professionals to become healers in the lives of at-risk children to discuss interventions developed through work with families of at-risk children. Tragically, children who have been harmed, neglected, and/or abused are at significantly increased risk for behavioral disorders, relationship failures, and early onset mental illness.

If I can understand what’s going on with my child’s neurochemistry, then I have the ability to form a deep relationship with my child and develop trust. When I develop trust, we can begin to change brain chemistry.

A SENSORY WORLD

Monday, March 23, 2026 at 6:30 P.M.

Led by TBRI Practitioner Randy Cummins

Making sense of sensory disorders offers insight and understanding about sensory issues that may make it difficult for a child to function at home and at school. Caregivers and professionals will learn to recognize the difference between sensory problems and problem behaviors and how to help children overcome everyday struggles that hamper their success, leading to enriched relationships relationships and improved self-esteemed and learning.

CHILDREN FROM HARD PLACES AND THE BRAIN

Monday, April 13, 2026 at 6:30 P.M.

Led by TBRI Practitioner Rhonda Cummins

Explore the impact of trauma on a developing brain and understand how fear, chronic stress, and trauma damage the structure, wiring, and chemistry of the brain, putting the child at risk for social, learning, and behavioral problems.

It’s the human interaction of looking into the eyes, being held, hearing the song of a mother, or feeling the strong shoulder of daddy, that begins to make the brain develop in very important ways for all of the life skills that will come.
